The distance between the top and bottom shelf is 14.5. This is fairly light weight and not super high end, but certainly looks the part! It weighs about 14 pounds. It is very sturdy and makes a great setup for a record player, video games, tv stand, or plant stand.
The surfaces look pretty good except for a couple minor scratches and a few light dings to the wood edges. There is a bit of very light corrosion in one or two spots on the silver metal.
The bottom shelf has a series of holes in it that Im assuming held some kind of metal wires to separate and hold the records. There arent any metal wires now, but we added our own little wire record rack for taking the photo and it worked just fine.
Its not included, but something similar will do the trick. Flaws are not overwhelming at all and this piece of vintage furniture still looks great! It will be easy to reassemble upon arrival... You might need a screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers.
