Vintage Kay Archtop Double F hole guitar, probably from mid century. This guitar has been played so much over the years the varnish is worn off the neck.
The body is fully bound with a checkered binding. The tuners all work and it looks like the tuner buttons may have been replaced on one side as they don't have as much patena. Back of guitar is in good shape, just a faint hairline left upper side as shown. The front is in decent shape, I think its two piece on the front as there is a faint straight line as shown up the center. Just a faint hairline about 1 bottom front of that line.
The fretboard has a slight curve and its tuned to an open key as that's the way they played it. See photos for clearance between strings and frets at the twelfth position. Either get the neck straightened it can be done or play it open key as is.
Also please note someone repaired the neck at the heal as shown as one time, There is glue and a screw ran in the heel but its sturdy. The photos tell the story. No case included, but it will be carefully packed. Thanks for looking and be sure to check out our other vintage instruments we have for sale... All items are Antique, Vintage or Retro.
