This well-preserved 1957 SPARTAN Imperial Villa mobile home and towable triple axle trailer has 410 square feet of living space. It has always been kept in the dry climate of Arizona and in recent years has been kept in covered storage. It has all aluminum framing, thick corrugated aluminum skin and a birch wood interior. The plywood subfloor is solid everywhere and the original aluminum belly pan is fully attached and sealed.

It is quality, 95% original and with minor work would be ready for dwelling or furnishing as a guest house. Included are 6 new 225/75 R15 tires and new black rims for all new tires and rims on 3 axles. This Spartan tows smoothly and has a 2-5/16' coupler. Safety chains, hooks and D shackles rated for 10,000 pounds should be used for a road tow. A new RV plug and brake lights can be installed or temporaries applied.

It can be towed in Arizona by anyone with a driver's license and towing experience. Only a day permit is needed if it's being relocated within the state.

In California, a Class A commercial license, a mobile home moving permit and a pilot car are required due to the 10' width. Towing requirements for a 10'wide trailer vary by state and should be confirmed for each.

The easiest way to move it interstate is to hire a professional logistics company that will supply all the equipment and get the necessary permits. The Spartan is located in Tucson, Arizona 85746 at a covered RV storage company. LENGTH: 45' including the tongue with a 41' cabin.

HEIGHT: 9' 8.5 from the ground to the tallest vent. LAYOUT: 2 bedrooms, 1 mid-cabin and 1 in the rear, a full bath with tub and shower mid-cabin and a kitchen and lounge in the front cabin. SKIN: Aluminum skin and roof in excellent condition with no coatings and the original burnish on the corrugated and sheet aluminum; all seams are watertight with no caulking or sealants; the noticeable imperfections are: 1 4 holes that are 1/2" to 1" which were made as access ports; 2 3 small screw holes attaching galvanized strapping; 3 3 small dimples where the skin borders the tongue; 4 5 small dimples and 3-4 shallow scratches on the back door; 5 tarp rub marks in a couple of areas that buff out with sodium bicarbonate and citric or acetic acid/vinegar. WOODWORK: Solid birch wall, ceiling and door panels and cabinetry in overall extremely good condition with the following issues: 1 water damage and stains on the panels below 3 windows; 2 several missing drawer fronts; 3 the movable dressers have wear and multiple dings; 4 several wall panels near the entry show wear; 5 a 12 section of wall panel is charred where it meets the floor outside the bathroom door.

FLOORING: Walnut parquet linoleum in overall good condition throughout with 70s style vinyl in the kitchen and bath. KITCHEN: Newer appliances including a Magic Chef refrigerator freezer and Tappan electronic ignition range. CROSS VENTILATION: Original 4 transom windows. ROOF VENTS: Original 4 aluminum including the turbine vent for the kitchen skylight, the furnace vent, the bath vent and the fan vent which is the only vent missing its cap. WINDOWS: Original aluminum frames with original glass in good condition.

SCREENS: 10 original window screens and 1 vent screen all with aluminum frames and screening in good usable condition. LOCKSETS: Original Bargman working push/pull lockset on the back door and a replacement commercial stainless steel lockset on the front door with all keys present. DOORS: Original aluminum including a back screen door. PLUMBING: Mostly original and functioning with an older 10 gallon water heater. ELECTRICAL: Fully intact original 110 AC system with 50 amp distribution/breaker box; the cable between the interior box and the exterior service port has been cut.

EXTERIOR PORTS/HOOKUPS: Park model with 110 electrical connection and 3/4 hose connection for unlimited power and water. INTERIOR LIGHTING: Original period incandescent sockets and fixtures that work with LED bulbs. HEATER: Original International propane gas forced air furnace that blows into an underfloor duct system with 6 duct registers throughout the cabin. AIR CONDITIONERS: Older units at front and rear that probably require some maintenance.
