Vintage Mid Century Modern (1964) Abstract in Oil by Eve V. For your consideration is a classic Mid Century Mod abstract by Eve V Monroe, painted in April 1964. Initials to bottom right, with name and date to verso. Subject is a dynamic, brilliant abstract in various blues. This is easily one of my favorite Mid Mod abstracts of all time. This artwork is just stunning, and sure to be the topic of much conversation wherever you choose to hang it. There is no doubt the artist had true command of her subject matter. Artwork is on canvasboard and in terrific condition. Sight measures roughly 17.25 x 36.25. The artwork is housed in a thin. 5 wooden frame that has been painted gold. The frame is original to the piece. It's likely the artist chose and constructed the frame, just like many artists did from this era. The frame is in terrific shape, with no conditions to note other than the odd nick and ding. Vintage frames have vintage related wear, so this is to be expected. Note; however, that none of it even remotely takes away from this artwork, which presents wonderfully. Artwork and frame measure roughly 17.75 x 36.75. I source boxes for each piece, or I create them myself. A bunch of paper and plastic are required to keep artwork safe, so I use recycled materials whenever possible. All of this takes time. These are one of a kind works of art. Please give me the time they deserve to pack them properly.
