For your consideration is a post-war artwork by Carol Balatti (1913 - 1995). Signature at bottom right and various stamps to verso.

Subject is a Mid Century Modern oil painting on canvas featuring a modern interpretation of the San Francisco Skyline, complete with the Bay or Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Artwork measures 18 x 24 and is in great shape with no conditions to note. The artwork is housed in a substantial dark wooden frame with linen liner.

The frame and liner compliment the artwork nicely. The frame has some wear, mostly in one corner that has moderate loss.

Dependent how high you like to hang your artwork, you may not see the loss as it's in the upper left corner. Most of the frame looks great-the brown stain or paint is quite consistent and has a clean look. The linen liner is free of stains and looks great.

Someone who is okay with a vintage look will be fine w the frame as-is. Those looking for a more modern, clean look, or who like their frames pristine, will want to reframe. Artwork with frame measures 31 x 25. I source boxes for each piece, or I create them myself.
